Department of Comprehensive Risk Reduction for Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases was founded on December 02, 2013.
The Head of the Department is Doctor of Medicine Isayeva Anna Serhiivna.
The major scientific direction of the Department is primary and secondary prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases.
Achievements
As a result of scientific-research activities, the staff members of the Department published more than 70 scientific works, issued 3 monographs, 2 methodical recommendations, got 1 patent for invention, defended 1 doctoral thesis and 3 Ph.D. theses on the basis of research results. More than 15 scientific papers published abroad. The head of the department is a co-author of the National consensus on the management of patients in menopause.
The staff members of the Department proposed and introduce learning methodology for patients of the basics of medical knowledge, that increases the attachment to medical therapy and motivates them to a healthy lifestyle. The method of nutrigenetic testing is developed. Individual diet selection is based on the evaluation of polymorphisms of the genes of the receptors PPRG, ADRB2, ADRB3, FABP2.
The algorithm of examination of women with cardiovascular risk in the period of perimenopause is proposed. The influence of different steroid hormones on the body of a woman is investigated. The algorithm of hormonal therapy in the period of early menopause is proposed.
Task:
– development of modern, effective and economically feasible methods of primary and secondary prevention of chronic non-communicable diseases.
