Petyunina Olga Vyacheslavovna was born on August 17, 1972 in Kharkiv. In 1995 she graduated the Kharkiv State Medical University with honors. In 1995-1997 she studied at the magistracy at the Department of Hospital Therapy at the Kharkiv State Medical University. In 1997-2000 she trained at the graduate school of the Institute of Therapy of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. In 2000 she defended Ph.D. and started to work at the Intensive Care Unit of the Institute of Therapy. She became the senior researcher of the Department of Acute Myocardial Infarction (from 2017 Department of Prevention and Treatment of Emergency Conditions) since 2005.
Today, she investigates the associations of anxiety-depressive states with different pathophysiological links of myocardial infarction, including genetic polymorphisms (R1 receptor gene to angiotensin II, aldosterone synthase, endothelin-1, BDNF, ST2 biomarkers, vascular endothelial growth factor-A, etc.
