DEPARTMENT OF PULMONOLOGY

Department of Pulmonology was organized within the structure of Institute of Therapy of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine in November 1986. The head of the Department is a Candidate of Medical Sciences, Senior Research Assistant, A.H. Zubaryev’ Prize Laureate (1987) V.V.Yefimov.
Since the moment of its foundation the main scientific tasks of the Department have been the development and application of new efficient methods for early diagnostic and therapy of obstructive pulmonary diseases, the prevention of pulmonary diseases from becoming chronic.
